The company was established in the early 1970s by Dimitris Zarpas, coming from Tinos island, and started operating in residential construction and real estate. Early on, the company focused on the rapidly growing region of north-eastern Attica, and specifically on the north suburbs of Athens.

Currently, ZARPAS General Partnership is run by second generation ownership.
